Apartment Review for Ghazal Apartments - Oklahoma City, OK

Someone I know moved into an apartment there and they claimed that they would make it "nice" for this individual. They patched really old carpet, which smelled like smoke, with pieces of carpet. The entire place smelled like mildew. The kitchen and bathroom was not clean like they said it would be. They had to clean the bathtub and the kitchen to make it usable. Within a week bugs started coming in from other filthy (I assume) apartments. They would not even bring food into the apartment or eat in the apartment because of this. There were so many that they were crawling out of every crevice - behind the counters. The people even set off bombs several times. A few hours after that happened the bugs just came back out from the crevices behind the cabinets. It took the apartment complex staff close to two months after being notified of this problem to get an exterminator out to the site, which did no good. When they moved their belongings out, everything had to be sprayed with bug spray to kill all of the bugs. The maintenance person was nice. However, they can only do what the management will allow. Friends don't let friends rent at this place. The bugs were in other apartments too. Yuck!!! The place is not safe either. A radio was stolen out of a car and the first day there the residents were woken up with a kid outside yelling "No, don't shoot her!!"
