Apartment Review for Springbrook Apartments - Oklahoma City, OK

In august me and my two roommates moved into Springbrook (or now Boulder Ridge). We are first time apartment renters and two of us are full time college students. Being new to this whole renting thing we didn't really know what to expect...but if we could go back we would probably do way more research and ask way more questions before signing the lease. Ever since we moved in its been one thing after the other. When we first moved in our apartment wasn't even ready for us and so we had to wait 2 hours before we could move anything in. Also, our patio doors were broken and one of them was completely off the hinge. It wouldn't lock so we had to call maintenance to have them put a bar lock on it for the time being. That day the apartment staff said they ordered a set of new french doors to replace the patio doors and they were to be put in early the next week....I think 3 months later is what they actually meant because that is when they were actually installed. Also, when we first moved in our bathtubs and showers were peeling and needed to be resurfaced. The apartment staff said that would be fixed also early the next week. It wasn't until 2 weeks later that it got done. The apartment itself isn't too bad and it has enough space...but it is not insulated well at all. So during the past couple of winter months our electricity bill was extremely high because of that. Also, because there is no insulation we can here everything that goes on in our upstairs neighbors apartment...and I mean EVERYTHING! Also, they are heavy smokers and their smoke comes down into our apartment through the vents. The staff are not very friendly and not reliable. They have office hours listed but do not keep to them that well. Also everytime we call we have to call like 5 times a day before we get an actual person. Then, when we do get a person they tell us they will send someone over to fix our problem or get right on top of something...but then when we are calling a week later because it hasn't been done, we get the same response. For the past 3 weeks we have not had hot water. We have called 5 times left 2 messages and seen them in person twice and only twice have they even sent someone over to look at it and the problem is still not fixed! If I could have given this apartment a rating of no stars I would have. its an awful place to live. Its constantly loud and noisy there is trash everywhere and they say they have what is considered "courtesy patrol" but in the 5 months we have lived here I have only seen them 2 times.
