Apartment Review for Summerscape - Oklahoma City, OK

Lived there three months and had two breaks in and one attempt to break in within 2 weeks period. Had to break the lease to get out of there before things getting worst. First attempt to break in - they just cracked the door could not get in. Second time was a break in and they stole all my stuff coming by the back window. TV, microwave, PC, monitor, DVD, video, etc. Police said they were residents or people hanging out there all the time because they knew my work schedule and that my car was not there. Also funny thing every night shady characters were hanging out outside but each time there was a break in no one could ever been seen out on streets. You figure. Third time they broke in again front door and stole just a printer that I replaced from the first time they stole. When I moved in I asked management if they have a problem with crime they said no way - all is good. The entrance gate worked 4 days out of the month and people are breaking it on purpose so they can do their business and come and go in a hurry if needed. Loud music late at night and even during daytime. After being vandalized 3 times I told management that they were not sincere about crimes going on and problems so I have to leave because I cannot live here with all these breakings, access gate not working and all shady characters hanging out at night and being loud. They said sure no problem bring us the police records and you won't be considered breaking the lease. I bring all paperwork they needed and later they wanted to charge me one month rent and breaking the lease. They put it on my credit report but I disputed. Grounds were not bad kept but had trash and old scrap metal stuff just in front of my door and asked managers and maintenance to clean it, they did not, I had to take it away myself. A few times I heard shotguns and once I seen police came over because one guy stabbed his girlfriend in the apartment or something. Some of management lives on property - I think they are very brave or maybe just irresponsible. My review is one year old, maybe now it's better or worst but I know for sure I won't be even driving around there to find out. If you live there - good luck, you have my prayers. If you even considered to move there - well...you decide.
