I have lived at Vintage Lakes for 1 year. When I first moved here in June I perceived the property to be safe, clean, well maintained and a over-all great athmostpher. I could sit on my patio, leave my fairly expensive patio furniture on the patio all night and day. In November of 2006 a letter circulated through the apt. complex saying that we should write our local congressman because there was constantly no hot water and heards of other maint. problems. Exaples of the noticibly problems were huge dug up holes all over the property and raw sewage seeping up from some of them. Vintage Lakes has been on 2 local news channels and in Daily Oklahoman about it's continous problems. The Village would like it completly torn down and re-built as a new housing district. I was recently told that they are in fore-closure and behind on water and other bills (as this is a all bills paid complex). Another thing that bugs me is the fact that between seasons, because it is all bills paid the complex will not cut on the air until they choose. They say their policy is that in May there has to be 7 days of the temperature being 70 or above. So if there are 6 days of 70 and one day of 69, no air. One plus is that when they do cut the air on it will freeze you out, so that is a good thing. Over-all the inside of the apartments look very nice. The outside needs to be painted. The plumming needs a drastic overhaul. They need at least 5 knowledgeable maint. men. They need on-site security and much more lighting. Also when there is no hot water for 7 days or a weekend it should be deducted from the rent. If you are down on your luck and just have to have a roof over your head then this could be a possibility. If you have other choices I would take them.
