Apartment Review for Wentwood At Grand Hill - Oklahoma City, OK

Both reviews of this place are very accurate! Luckily I felt safe for the most part. I was a single mom and my neighbors were hard core, however they liked me. They watched out for me and my baby and everyone knew not to mess with us. I also lived in the front of the complex (which wasn't much better than the back), and though I felt safe for the fact that my neighbors watched out for us...my neighbors activities could have gotten my family killed. The management and staff back then was laughable! Nothing was done and ever fixed. My apartment flooded on more than one occasion due to the pipes in the laundry room. I was always told it was my washer overflowing...mind you I didn't have a washer until the last 6 months I lived there! Not only that, but I had a hard time with the maintenance. I was hit on nonstop by the maintenance staff, to the point that one of them made a copy of my house key and used it! I awoke to a maintenance member standing beside my bed saying my name. I came home on several occasions and found this person in my home watching tv or eating! He always said he was fixing something (I never put in a work order). Sexual advances were made and I let the office know, they told me I was lying because that worker was married and a good man. Well when that worker was finally fired once he was caught stealing...they informed me that they found 10 keys in his vehicle (that was used on property) and 4 of them fit my door! My neighbors were moving without telling the office and while I was by the office I was asked when I was moving. I told them (the office staff) I didn't know what they were talking about, they told me they saw the UHaul and assumed it was me, I said no that is the neighbors. I didn't realize it was supposed to be hush hush. I then started being harassed by the neighbors that were moving. They then told another set of neighbors that I turned them in for selling drugs and a bunch of other lies. So I started being harassed by 2 sets of neighbors and the office didn't care. I called them and said that is it, I am moving. I am packing up and will be gone by morning, you can keep my deposit bc I don't feel safe here anymore. (the neighbors that watched out for me had been long gone after being carted off to jail). I don't think this complex will ever change, they tried to fix the gates at one point and within 24 hours they were broken down again. This place is a big joke and unless you have absolutely no place to go and can handle yourself...STAY AWAY!
