Apartment Review for Whitby Court - Oklahoma City, OK

This is a slum. If your heating or AC goes out you are S.O.L. until they feel like getting to it...the management doesn't really care to retain decent renters; renters demand service for the money they pay. The first weekend I moved in someone caved in the hood of my BMW. I was told there was nothing I could do, but that cameras were being installed. I traded the BMW in for a Kia and it was keyed. When I went and asked to see the tape, I was told that the camera was inoperative. I have called numerous times to report malicious behavior from students and was told that is in not management's job to deal with it, I should call 911. When I called because I came home at 10 pm and my apartment was 91 degrees I was hung up on by the answering service numerous times. After calling several more times I was threatened with the police for harrassment. The structures are unsound, prone to fire, and graffiti is common, but no one does anything about it, even when photos are submitted. The crime rate is high and management does nothing to make the premises safe for tenants. They even refuse to clear sidewalks in heavy snow and ice storms! Mailboxes are constantly vandalized, damaged, and burglarized. Sewage often overflows and they leave it out and let it run into the streets. If you can, move somewhere else. These units are dirty, full of bugs, and literally rotting from the outside in. The management will try to take you for a ride at every turn, even after your lease has expired.
